Dermalux® Tri-Wave MD LED Light Therapy – Awaken Clinic

LED Light Therapy is a non-invasive therapeutic treatment which helps to trigger the skin’s natural repair and rejuvenation. There are lots of LED light therapy devices on the market, but here at Awaken Clinic, in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, we offer the Dermalux® Tri-wave MD, a British, multi-award winning, globally-recognised leader in LED light therapy, for the treatment of a multitude of age-related and chronic skin concerns.

FAQs

Which skin conditions can be treated with Dermalux® LED phototherapy?
  • Ageing skin (fine lines and wrinkles, dehydration)
  • Hyperpigmentation caused by UV damage
  • Acne
  • Rosacea
  • Eczema
  • Psoriasis
  • Post-treatment healing
  • Wound healing
  • Chronic pain conditions

Dermalux Tri-Wave MD phototherapy has also been proven to improve symptoms of S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder).

How does the Dermalux® LED phototherapy work?

Dermalux® blue light offers anti-bacterial properties, helping to improve skin clarity, treating spots and breakouts without irritation and calming problem skin.

Dermalux® Red Light helps to boost collagen and elastin production so is perfect for treating the signs of ageing. It can reduce fine lines and wrinkles, increase hydration, even out the skin’s tone and texture and revitalise and restore the skin’s natural radiance.

Dermalux® Near Infrared Light offers advanced skin rejuvenation benefits. It calms red or irritated skin, reduces pigmentation and age spots and increases the overall health of the skin. This setting is especially effective for even the most sensitive skins.

Am I suitable for a treatment with Dermalux® LED phototherapy?

As Dermalux® is completely pain-free and is a non-invasive therapy, most patients are suitable for a course of treatment. However, we will ask that you attend an initial consultation and skin analysis, as well completing a medical questionnaire to ensure there are no contraindications that could affect your treatment. When we are satisfied that Dermalux® will be both a safe and effective treatment for your individual skin concerns, you can book your first treatment.

How many Dermalux® LED phototherapy treatments will I need?

This all depends on your unique skin concerns and the results you would like to achieve. You can see benefits from one individual session and many patients have this treatment to complete a multi-step protocol (following a peel or radiofrequency with microneedling, for example). However, for optimum results, we recommend a series of treatments spaced a week apart. Your tailored treatment plan will be created at your initial consultation at the clinic.
